I do believe it does. I go in and teach now, of course it's student teaching thus it is unpaid labor, and I grumble about having to go back on the weekends, but when I get to school I fall into a groove. The day just flies by and I love every second of it. Even when I have to get on the kids or what not. Teaching apparently is just my thing.

some people get lucky and get to do what they love (or at least enjoy), for the rest of us we go to a JOB and hopefully get paid for what we are doing (though I guess the new age thing now is 'heck I am here, that is what you pay me for---what, you want me to WORK while I am here '....), I did enjoy teaching, but took a lot out of me (I am not as young as my stuffed animals make me appear).....and when I was doing grade school---the next day all I wanted was to sleep at my desk (didnt happen though).....

so you are very truly lucky pwnd....I hope you have a great career.

(now to get depressed----I watched the bio channel last night---gordon ramsay, found out he is YOUNGER than I /sob....found out robert irvine is only a year older than I and andrew zimmern is about 5 years older than me --they all look in their 50's ....and here I sit trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my life...oh well, guess some people get good looks, others get fame, some get fortune, and some of us get----well, to do jobs we hate, ....now I am getting toooo ----)

time to go and watch harry potter.

So ppl, tomorrow is Easter! The main, but less celebrated, Christian Feast....

Hope everyone of you can feel the real resurrection within urself, which is the main sense of the Easter! 2011 years of history have been depending on this event, in good and evil, but still it did!

I hope u can stop for a moment and think about this!

Happy Easter!

Easter and Spring, there is no coincidence that they come together. Each represents rebirth and all the possibilities they represent.

Dang that was deep RR.

Thanks cosy, I hope I do as well! And ya, teaching elementary and middle school can be draining. I'm sure high school will be as well to an extent, but I don't think it will be as bad as the lower levels because their shouldn't be as much hand holding in high school.

ah easter memories....
when I was a kid, parents used to hide those small solid chocolate eggs in our living room for me and my sister to find.....bad thing was sometimes we didnt find them until the summer (good thing they werent the real eggs).

in high school---easter freshman year, came down with chicken pox. I remember being an acolyte that day ....the ONLY day that they would read the gospel in the middle of the congregation whilst an acolyte (that day me) was holding a big, tall , heavy cross---and praying pastor would READ FASTER!! ....didnt miss any school since our spring break was after easter instead of before (wonderful highschool I attended).

last couple of years, easter has meant :clean the cars out day. The day that the winter car (subaru) gets its big cleaning, and the summer car (corolla) gets to come out of the garage (also getting a good washing and cleaning).....but seeing as its been raining--no need for the wash for either this year.....so

this year: sleep and play gw.

so...I think this is the longest this thread has gone without SOMEone posting in it.
Have been doing a lot of cleaning over the last few days ---made homemade lasagna (including the sauce) which requires HUGE pots that wont fit in my dishwasher, as well as the lasagna pan which never gets clean in the dishwasher---actually not much does get clean in my dishwasher-------------

ah well, tis spring when the condo assess decide to do dumb stuff --like sealcoat the driveways (ya'know its raining right??? and its still COLD--the dumb stuff wont set unless its warm and DRY--spring is NOT a good time for this!!)....so who is gonna lend me a cool $300k so I can build a house and get out of this idiotic place?????

well hope everyone had a good weekend, I am just happy its getting a weeee bit warmer (could do without rain everyday, but if thems the choices I will take warm and wet over really cold and dry).....though my arthritis could do without the wet too.

3 days... I knew my hands were shaking for a reason! Withdrawal!

I've been busy with Easter and getting stuff all done for Student Teaching and what not. Plus tonight I have to go to the board meeting at the school that hired me to teach next year. So ya, 45 minute drive there, 45 minutes back. Hopefully the meeting is short cause I'll need to make my lunch when I get back and search for a new computer...

Spring? Where? I just see rain...

rain rain go away--they need you someplace else, REALLY
yes more rain, and more rain expected for the sealcoating day, which raises a question, if it is not raining when they start, yet begins say when they are almost done with say one driveway, will they continue??? And how much rain is too much--if its just drizzling, does that count as rain???

all I see is rain too pwnd.

azzer--denmark, isnt Lutheran the major religion there? and seeing as holy week is Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter-- so having thursday thru monday (easter monday is a holiday in a lot of countries since easter falls on a sunday and since most people dont work that day they give monday off instead) makes sense.

pwnd....4th graders----/shivers.....more rain here, gonna think about building an ark.

so its NOT raining and they are NOT sealcoating! oy

FINALLY got my brakes checked--they are fine, but mighty dirty so they got a good cleaning, and got some new power steering fluid too---which could explain the noise the steering had been making ....glad that is over....next week-haircut.

I hope all you folks in tornado areas are all doing ok. By the time the front got here the cold ocean air took most of the bite out of it.
